2019 Year in Review:
2019 was yet another successful year for Lumber City Development Corporation. Here is a look at some of our projects and accomplishments of the past year, as we continue our work to make North Tonawanda a great place to live, work and play:
Art on Oliver Street Buffalo Wings & Brewhouse Ribbon Cutting Mural at The Strand Theater

Advanced implementation of the Oliver Street Community Needs Assessment through:
- A public art program which included the installation of 31 artist reproductions in the windows of 10 vacant & underutilized buildings and a painted mural on the exterior of The Strand Theater
- A facade program which assisted 13 businesses with small scale building enhancements
- Small business assistance to 8 qualifying businesses which included the leverage of over $240,000 in private investment and the creation of 44 new employment positions;
- Continued partnerships with the Webster Street Merchants Association, Oliver Street Merchants Association, Project Pride of North Tonawanda, and the Chamber of Commerce of the Tonawandas;
- Adopted a new City of North Tonawanda Zoning Code update;
- Assisted in the completion of enhancements at Gateway Harbor Park to include new restroom facilities, expanded docks, and picnic areas;
- Hosted our first Taking Care of Business: Business to Business Workshop;
- Assisted the City of North Tonawanda with the design of Downtown Placemaking Enhancements;
- Assisted in the $1.3 Million Woodcock Brothers Brewery Project, creating over 40 jobs;
