Art On Oliver Street- Public Art Initiative- CALL FOR ARTISTS!
published on Friday, January 18th, 2019
In 2018, Lumber City Development Corporation was awarded funding through the OATH Community Benefit Fund for Niagara County for Oliver Street Public Art. This art initiative known as "Art on Oliver Street" will officially launch in Spring 2019. The public art initiative includes approximately 24 hanging artist reproductions in the windows of vacant and underutilized windows on Oliver Street between Thompson and Wheatfield, a 3D window installation, a mural on the side of a building on Oliver Street. Through this project, we hope to create a "walking art gallery" on Oliver Street which will not only immerse pedestrians in the local arts community, but will bring attention to buildings, promote walkability, and beautify this key corridor in North Tonawanda.
Lumber City Development Corporation is seeking artists who wish to participate in this program. If you are interested in participating, please refer to the following Call for Artists submission forms. All entries are due March 1st 2019, and the selection process will begin mid-march 2019.
