Art On Oliver Street- Public Art Initiative- CALL FOR ARTISTS!

In 2018, Lumber City Development Corporation was awarded funding through the OATH Community Benefit Fund for Niagara County for Oliver Street Public Art. This art initiative known as "Art on Oliver Street" will officially launch in Spring 2019. The public art initiative includes approximately 24 hanging artist reproductions in the windows of vacant and underutilized windows on Oliver Street between Thompson and Wheatfield, a 3D window installation, a  mural on the side of a building on Oliver Street. Through this project, we hope to create a "walking art gallery" on Oliver Street which will not only immerse pedestrians in the local arts community, but will bring attention to buildings, promote walkability, and beautify this key corridor in North Tonawanda.
Lumber City Development Corporation is seeking artists who wish to participate in this program. If you are interested in participating, please refer to the following Call for Artists submission forms. All entries are due March 1st 2019, and the selection process will begin mid-march 2019.

"LCDC is one of the stars that shine the brightest out of the departments in North Tonawanda! They are vocal about opportunities that they have for funding and are knowledgeable about whether your business will qualify or not. [Laura] is always available as a resource and a guide. Every dollar and cent makes a big difference to the cash flow of a small business and LCDC understands that. Laura was able to get us in contact with another grant opportunity which changed the trajectory of our business plan for the better. Simply put, we would not be where we are now in just (almost) 5 years of being open if it wasn’t for the hard work of everyone involved with LCDC."
