Ridge Furniture, a downtown assembly center and show room that opened in December will receive $220,000 in federal and local funding.
Ridge Furniture, 27 Main Street, will get $70,000 as part of a federal community development block grant awarded to the city and $150,000 in a low-interest loan from Lumber City Development Corporation, according to Chuck Bell, Economic Development Coordinator for Lumber City.
Mostafa Tanbakuchi said his company, which occupies the property of the former Frontier Chevrolet, has seven full-time employees. The company expects to create a total of 21 jobs, according to agency officials.
